Interview: Christina Leopold meets the new Gluten Free Oats
Have you ever heard of Christina from @addictedtodates? Or rather, have you ever seen her creations? Do you already follow her page? We'll introduce her to you and see what she thinks of our new Gluten Free Oats!
Hi Christina, you've had a chance to preview and try our new Gluten Free Oats, how you found them?
Hello! As a recipe developer and photographer, I love to create simple recipes so that I can spend more time getting creative with the presentation and photography side of things. The new Iswari Oats range take only a couple of minutes to prepare, and simply need to be combined with plant-milk or plant-based yoghurt in order for them to be ready to eat. This saves me so much time with food preparation!
So you particularly like them because they're quick and easy to prepare?
I also love to eat oats for breakfast as they are nutritious and satiating and help me to stay full until lunch. However, with a busy work schedule I rarely have the time to cook oatmeal in the mornings or prepare them the night before (overnight oats). So, these new instant oat mixes are quickly becoming a staple in my kitchen.
You'll have tried a lot of oats, oat flakes and porridges. Do you think our Gluten Free Oats have something special that sets them apart from other products on the market?
They contain only natural, whole food ingredients, which is unique based on what I’ve seen on the market so far. A lot of the convenience instant oat products contain added refined sugars, honey and dairy, which makes them a lot less healthy and unsuitable for vegans.
This is a bit of a feature of all our exclusive mixes and products in general. Are you sure that there is not something that makes them more delicious than any other porridge? We know that you have a weakness for one particular ingredient...
(smiling) My favourite part about these new products is that they contain nut-butters in the mix! This saves a lot of money, because nut butters tend not to be the cheapest.
So, please, tell us the truth, only the truth…which one is your favourite?
At the moment they come in two different varieties; Peanut & Banana and Hazelnut & Cacao. The peanut butter and banana flavour is divine, I loved using it as a base for my energy ball recipe. But then there’s my favourite of the two, Hazelnut and Cacao. I’ve always been a fan of the chocolate and hazelnut combo so I’m excited to get it eat it for breakfast every day now! The mixture has just the right amount of sweetness for me, but you can always added a drizzle of maple syrup if you’d like your oats a little sweeter.
Do you want to say something else, do you want to add something to this interview, like you do with the toppings in your recipes?
Yes: “not only porridges”. Both flavours are also really versatile, and can be used in making raw desserts, brownies, cookies and lots more. I’m excited to try them out in various ways and will be keeping my eyes peeled for any new flavours!
Psst! Don’t spoiler our secrets! Thanks Christina, looking forward to see your new creations!
