Recipe: Snickers Porridge

Ingredients

Oatmeal

1 cup plant-based milk

½ cup GF Peanut Butter Banana Oats Iswari

1 tbsp Maca Powder Iswari

1 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract


Peanut Caramel

3 tbsp maple syrup

2 tbsp Peanut Butter Iswari

¼ tsp salt


Garnish

1 banana, cut lengthways

1 tsp coconut oil for frying

Peanuts

Dark chocolate

Maple syrup


Method

Add the plant-based milk, oats, maca powder, maple syrup and vanilla extract to a saucepan and bring to the boil., Whisk continuously and bring the heat down to medium, simmer for 2 minutes and remove from the heat. Set aside.

Meanwhile make the peanut caramel by adding all of the ingredients to a bowl and whisking until smooth.

Add the coconut oil to a frying pan and once very hot add the banana halves to the pan. Bring the heat down to medium and fry on both sides for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.

Assemble the bowl with the porridge and top with caramelised banana, peanut caramel, dark chocolate chunks, peanuts and a drizzle of maple syrup.
