Many parents ask me about alternative sweeteners and what I recommend. Xylitol is one sweetener I personally use. It looks and tastes like white sugar, but it t has fewer calories than sugar and it doesn't cause tooth decay which is great for all the family, especially kids. I use it to add a little sweetness for example by adding it to unsweetened cocoa powder to make hot chocolate for my kids.
