Intestinal Function | Iswari ©

Choosing foods individually for the gut, depends on its state and the way it is functioning. While for instance carob (found in Macaccino Dark and Little Buddha Carob) may help to form hard stools, the fibres support the elimination. Soluble fibres (chia & flax seeds, cacao, oats...) have the capacity to mix with water and that increases the viscosity of the foods in the stomach and regulates intestinal transit. The insoluble fibre (other seeds and green leafy vegetables) don’t interact with water, remaining intact during the digestive process, increasing the faecal bolus, and this way facilitating the elimination.
