Maca is an ancient plant that grows in the Peruvian Andes. It belongs to the family of Brassicas, a tuberculous root that gives rise to a very nutritious powder used in food for thousands of years by Peruvian Indians to boost energy levels, promote mental health and balance the hormonal system, with some influence on fertility and libido.
