Whole grain oat flour (gluten-free), ground buckwheat, brown rice flour, ground flaxseed, tapioca starch, beetroot powder, lucuma powder, baking powder [cornstarch, raising agents (monocalcium phosphate and sodium bicarbonate)] and freeze-dried raspberry flakes.
SUGGESTIONS FOR USE:
For 1 pancake
= 2 tablespoons of Pancake & Waffle Mix
For 1 waffle
= 4 tablespoons of Pancake & Waffle Mix
1: Combine the mix with the vegetable drink/water in a 1:1 ratio.
2: Mix until you get a thick, creamy batter.
3: a) Pancakes: cook in a frying pan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking, when bubbles form on the surface and the base is golden brown.
b) Waffle: Place the batter in the waffle iron and cook according to the instructions.
4: Serve with desired toppings (fresh fruit, nut butter, seeds, etc.) and enjoy.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INGREDIENTS:
Whole grain oatmeal is simply the result of grinding whole oat flakes. This naturally gluten-free cereal is not only rich in fibre and an excellent source of protein, but also contains many minerals such as magnesium, iron and phosphorus. As the central ingredient in this Iswari blend, oats are an excellent ally for maintaining satiety, controlling cholesterol levels and blood sugar.
Ground buckwheat provides the mix with a high content of protein, complex carbohydrates and fibre - in combination with oat and brown rice flour, this pseudocereal contributes to the feeling of satiety and gives structure to pancakes and waffles.
Ground almonds contribute not only a distinct and pleasant taste, but above all their unsaturated fats. If these are introduced into the diet as a substitute for saturated fats (found mainly in animal products), they help to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.
Brown rice flour is an excellent substitute for refined wheat flour, not only because it is naturally gluten-free, but also because of its functionality and versatility, giving these pancakes and waffles greater lightness while contributing to the product's nutritional density.
Flaxseed, as well as being an excellent source of plant protein, fibre and omega-3 fatty acids, is essential to give structure and cohesion to the pancakes/waffles as it naturally binds the batter, eliminating the need to add any kind of egg to fulfil this function, for a cholesterol-free result rich in polyunsaturated fats which are essential to our bodies.
Beetroot powder is the star of this mix, not only for the nutrients and naturally occurring sugars it has to offer, but also for the unmistakable colour and flavour it can give to these pancakes/waffles. We know that not everyone is a fan of its distinctive flavour, but we also know that something special and irresistible happens when this pink root harmonises with the irresistible acidity and aroma of raspberry flakes.
Lucuma is a fruit native to South America and is perfect for adding creaminess and sweetness to pancake and waffle batter.
Freeze-dried raspberry flakes are the second star of this mix, in fact they complement the flavour profile of the beetroot so well that it would be unthinkable not to include them. Their power is so great because this berry comes into the mix as small freeze-dried pieces that retain all their colour, flavour and aroma... absolutely wonderful when mixed into the pancake/waffle mix!
Tapioca starch and baking powder are 2 ingredients with a functional purpose in this mix and which support its convenience and ease of preparation, providing structure and cohesion and leavening capacity to this batter respectively.
