PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Pancake & Waffle Mix | Almond, Apple & Maca is the ideal mix to have at home if you want to make your own pancakes or waffles quickly and easily. Through a balanced combination of wholemeal ingredients, we have created a product naturally sweetened with maca root and apple powder, which harmonise perfectly with the cinnamon flavour! You can garnish your pancakes and waffles with fresh fruit and your favourite nut butter.

INGREDIENTS:
Whole grain oat flour (gluten-free), brown rice flour, ground almonds (8%), ground flaxseed, apple powder (7.5%), tapioca starch, maca powder (4%), baking powder [corn starch, raising agents (monocalcium phosphate and sodium bicarbonate)] and cinnamon powder.
SUGGESTIONS FOR USE:
For 1 pancake
= 2 tablespoons of Pancake & Waffle Mix
For 1 waffle
= 4 tablespoons of Pancake & Waffle Mix
1: Combine the mix with the vegetable drink/water in a 1:1 ratio.
2: Mix until you get a thick, creamy batter.
3: a) Pancakes: cook in a frying pan over medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking, when bubbles form on the surface and the base is golden brown.
b) Waffle: Place the batter in the waffle iron and cook according to the instructions.
4: Serve with desired toppings (fresh fruit, nut butter, seeds, etc.) and enjoy.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INGREDIENTS:
Whole grain oatmeal is simply the result of grinding whole oat flakes. This naturally gluten-free cereal is not only rich in fibre and an excellent source of protein, but also contains many minerals such as magnesium, iron and phosphorus. As the central ingredient in this Iswari blend, oats are an excellent ally for maintaining satiety, controlling cholesterol levels and blood sugar.
Brown rice flour is an excellent substitute for refined wheat flour, not only because it is naturally gluten-free, but also because of its functionality and versatility, giving these pancakes and waffles greater lightness while contributing to the product's nutritional density.
Ground almonds contribute not only a distinct and pleasant taste, but above all their unsaturated fats. If these are introduced into the diet as a substitute for saturated fats (found mainly in animal products), they help to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.
Flaxseed, as well as being an excellent source of plant protein, fibre and omega-3 fatty acids, is essential to give structure and cohesion to the pancakes/waffles as it naturally binds the batter, eliminating the need to add any kind of egg to fulfil this function, for a cholesterol-free result rich in polyunsaturated fats which are essential to our bodies.
Apple powder is found in this blend not only to contribute to its nutritional benefits, but more importantly to impart the flavour, which harmonises so well with maca and cinnamon, and to naturally sweeten the blend in combination with maca - eliminating the need to add sugar.
Maca is a Peruvian root that is rich in calcium, iron, magnesium and is also a source of zinc. It is an excellent source of energy and contributes to physical and mental performance, as well as to the general well-being and vitality of the body.
Ceylon cinnamon powder is present in a balanced amount to complete the flavour profile of this blend, harmonising its delicate aroma and taste with the almond, apple and maca while contributing to its nutritional properties.
Tapioca starch and baking powder are 2 ingredients with a functional purpose in this dough and support its convenience and ease of preparation, providing structure and cohesion and leavening capacity to this dough respectively.
